Master's Degree in CINEMETOGRAPHY
Shot composition, camera movement and manipulation of light, colour and shade; all combine to create a film's unique photographic signature. A cinematographer needs to be good with the above, besides looking at life through a viewfinder and knowing what appears best on screen. This requires a combination of practical, technical and creative expertise; as well as aesthetic vision and precise attention to detail.
Students acquire skills in basic photography, videography, motion picture photography, and use of different kinds of cameras, lenses, filters, light meters and other equipment. This is supplemented by execution of complex shots, use of aesthetics and special lighting, among other techniques. They get adopted in employing special effects and shooting in unusual conditions. Students will also be trained with multi-cameras set up in studio and on location.
